A NEW ORTHODOX PARENTING RESOURCE FOR YOUR PARISH
RAISING ORTHODOX CHRISTIANS
Help the parents in your parish keep their children close to Christ and His Church.
At the deepest level, that’s what Orthodox parents want. But family life gets full quickly. School, sports, friendships, technology, activities and the hundreds of everyday decisions that come with them can make it hard to keep that bigger goal in view.
Raising Orthodox Christians gives parents a practical, deeply Orthodox way to think through those daily choices while they keep asking: Are we helping our children grow toward Christ and His Church?
Preorder by Jan. 25, 2027, and receive more than $250 in bonus resources for free.
You will find lived wisdom in this book. These pious parents speak from experience—from successes and failures, joys and sorrows, victories and defeats. They are candid. They are funny. They are real. And what they offer is pure Orthodoxy. I will be putting this book into every parent’s hands!
Fr. George Dokos, Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church
Why This Book Matters for Your Families
The big question is: What are we doing now to help our children love Christ and His Church when they’re grown?
Parents in your parish want their children to know Christ, love His Church and carry the faith with them long after they leave home.
The challenge is figuring out what that looks like in the middle of ordinary family life.
Rooted in the time-tested wisdom of the Orthodox Church, Raising Orthodox Christians gives parents a shared framework for meeting this challenge and keeps them focused on what matters most.

Read Chapter 1 for Free
In Chapter 1, Cindy and Paul begin with a question almost every parent has asked at some point: Am I doing any of this right?
Then they introduce the bigger idea that shapes the rest of the book: Every Orthodox Christian family is climbing toward something, and when Christ and His Church are the summit, parents can weigh everyday choices against that goal.
Practical Application for Everyday Family Living
Use the Book to Bring Your Parish Parents Together
Whether they’re chasing toddlers, raising teenagers or sending their kids off to college, the parents in your parish share many of the same hopes, questions and worries.
An Orthodox Christian Parenting (OCP) Group gives parents a place to talk honestly, learn from one another and bring the questions they’re facing back to the wisdom of Scripture and the Church.
Raising Orthodox Christians gives those conversations a shared place to begin and opens discussions that might not happen otherwise.
Starting an OCP Group is simple. You make the books available to your parish, invite a few parents to lead, and give them space to gather.
When you preorder 10+ copies, you’ll receive the practical tools you need to launch your group—including the OCP Group Starter Kit video series + workbook, live training + Q&A with authors Cindy and Paul Karos, and ready-to-use parish swipe files.

Meet Cindy and Paul Karos
Cindy and Paul Karos are lifelong Orthodox ministry leaders who have spent four decades serving families across the Antiochian and Greek archdioceses. Cindy has served as a regional youth director, the vice chair of the Midwest Diocesan Council and the founder of multiple family ministries, including a beloved pan-Orthodox family camp that ran for 20 years. Paul holds a master’s degree in applied Orthodox theology from the University of Balamand and regularly leads men’s retreats, serves as a marriage counselor and guides pilgrimages to Mount Athos.
